Use the Windows battery-report command and select the generated battery-report.html file.
Open the report locally and confirm that it contains installed-battery and capacity information. Review any device information before submitting the file.
The file must match the accepted extension, content, and size limits. Client-side checks do not replace server-side validation.
Manual calculation
Enter Design Capacity and Full Charge Capacity only when both are raw measurements using the same unit. Do not enter a percentage as a capacity value.
Calculation
Battery Health Percentage = (Full Charge Capacity ÷ Design Capacity) × 100
Design Capacity must be greater than zero. Full Charge Capacity cannot be negative.
Troubleshooting
Confirm that the selected file is the HTML report generated by Windows and that it has an .html extension. Do not rename an unrelated file to .html. Check the displayed file-size limit and try selecting the file through the file picker rather than drag-and-drop.
The device may not expose the required fields, the report may be malformed, or the parser may not recognize the report structure. Open the report and look for installed-battery information, including Design Capacity and Full Charge Capacity. Use manual entry only when both values are available in the same unit.
Design Capacity must be greater than zero. Full Charge Capacity cannot be negative. Remove commas or spaces only if the field does not normalize them correctly, and confirm that both measurements use the same unit.
Keep the reported result visible. Values above 100% can occur because of calibration, replacement batteries, firmware behavior, or manufacturer reporting. A visual bar may stop at its maximum width without changing the numeric result.
Capacity is only one factor. Workload, display brightness, background processes, temperature, wireless activity, power settings, battery condition, and charging behavior can affect runtime.
Report the affected page, control, browser, operating system, assistive technology, and the exact keyboard or screen-reader behavior. Include a screenshot only when it contains no sensitive information.
